Thank you for deciding to become NCVO members and choosing to apply online.

To join complete the following 4 simple steps:

Step 1 - Check you are eligible for membership against our membership criteria
Step 2 - Select the membership package relevant to your organisation
Step 3 - Complete the online application form
Step 4 - Payment (if relevant)

Once we receive and approve your application we will send you a confirmation email with your membership number and a request for payment if required.

Please note that the application process should only take a few minutes to complete.

We are based in England. (If operating across the UK, your headquarters are in England)

The aims, objectives and working methods of our organisation are written down in a publicly available document and we have a commitment to equal opportunities.

Our organisation is properly constituted and not time limited for a particular purpose

£1 million - £5 million
Over £5 million

NCVO reserves the right to refuse membership to any organisation it believes to be ineligible.
The decision of the executive committee will be final.


Definitions

  1. Voluntary organisation - An independent, self-governing body of people who have joined together voluntarily to take action for the benefit of the community. A voluntary organisation may employ paid staff or volunteers, but must be established otherwise than for financial gain.

  2. Commitment to equal opportunities - Your organisation must be open to all members of the community with interests relevant to your publicly stated aims. If you recruit staff or volunteers, there should be a stated policy in existence on equal opportunity values. If you do not have a stated policy, you must confirm that you practice equal opportunities.
